Posting on eiRxiv is a form of publishing, and is permanent. We also want to make sure everyone knows and agrees to follow the rules of our platform. We therefore use the following forms during our submission process:
Coordinating adult agreement: The coordinating adult confirms that:
Student author agreement: The primary student author confirms that:
Consent forms*: The student author(s), their parents/guardians, and any adult authors confirm that:
*Why consent forms matter:
Publishing consent forms help ensure that student authors, their parents, their teachers, and any other adult mentors involved all legally agree to post their manuscript on eiRxiv and comply with eiRxiv’s terms of use. As many of our student authors are under 18, these consent forms also ensure eiRxiv is protecting student privacy and safety when sharing content online in compliance with US federal regulations.
Forms and agreements will be shared and signed digitally. Manuscripts cannot move forward in the submission and posting process if any of these forms are missing, incomplete, or inaccurate.
