Support/questions

If you have a specific question about doing, submitting, or posting your research, we’re here to help. We are happy to support students*, teachers, mentors, and adult authors at any stage of the research and posting process.

  • Check the Submit page, eiRxiv Posting Process, manuscript template, submission guidelines, and help guides on our submission platform first. You can also look at previously published manuscripts to see if they answer your question. (add appropriate links)
  • Contact Ask a Scientist for help as you design, analyze, and write about your research project. eiRxiv does not provide this guidance prior to submission.

If the above resources don’t have the answer to your question, you can reach out directly to our editorial staff. Please follow these guidelines for contacting us:

  • If you have an account in our eiRxiv platform, please contact us via that platform instead.
  • Include your name, the title of your manuscript, and your manuscript number if you have one. If you’re having technical difficulties, please include a screenshot.
  • Write your email in a formal or professional tone.
  • Be clear and specific about your question.
  • Please be patient. We do our best to answer every email within 3-10 business days. During busy submission seasons, the wait time may be slightly longer as our staff and volunteers balance many responsibilities. We assure you that every message is important to us, and we will respond as soon as we can.
  • Please reply-all to emails unless an email tells you otherwise. This helps us make sure all emails stay together.

*To comply with laws that protect minors online, such as the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) in the United States, we ask that all students under the age of 13 contact us through their adult mentor or parent/guardian.
