Submission Guidelines and Support

eiRxiv is a preprint server where middle and high school students can share their scientific research with the world. By posting on eiRxiv, students can learn the scientific method, find their scientific voice, and be recognized as young emerging scientists.

Whether you’re preparing a manuscript for the first time or a teacher helping your students post their research, this page will walk you through all you need to know to prepare, format, and submit your manuscript. Before you submit, we recommend that you take these steps, in this order:

Read all of the guidelines on these pages carefully and make sure you understand them.

Read the submission checklist.

Write your manuscript on our manuscript template.

Go back over your manuscript, using the submission checklist.

Remember: to be accepted to eiRxiv, a manuscript must:

  • Meet all of our guidelines and use our template
  • Be original – it can’t be plagiarized, and or have been submitted for publication anywhere else, and all resources must be properly cited.
  • Contain accurate, unbiased data
  • Include all necessary supporting forms if the research uses human or animal subjects
